The reigning MLS Cup champions may have just landed one of the league's marquee free agents.
Inter Miami is reportedly nearing a deal to sign Canada international goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair, per The Athletic's Tom Bogert on Wednesday.
The Pickering, Ont. native is coming off a career-best campaign with Minnesota United that earned him MLS Goalkeeper of the Year in November.
St. Clair, 28, posted 10 clean sheets in 2025 (tied-third in MLS) while logging the fourth most saves (113) and allowing just 30 goals in 30 appearances.
He's spent his entire MLS career with Minnesota since the team selected St. Clair in the 2019 SuperDraft, and has made 159 appearances in that span. According to Bogert, the club had been in talks with the GK on working out a new deal, but little materialized before he hit free agency and Miami got involved.
St. Clair also has 18 caps for Canada and is in contention to represent the red-and-white as the senior men's starting goalkeeper for the 2026 World Cup.
